Six grants were award by

I-STEM Northwest.

I-STEM Northwest administered by NICTE has awarded six grants for STEM related educational activities in Northwest Indiana.

I-STEM Northwest is supporting new and on-going projects that focus on, but are not limited to, K-12 teacher and/or student development in the STEM.areas.

The projects that were funded are:

A Materials Camp for Teachers awarded to Dr. Aramowitz, Purdue University Calumet.

Preparing Math Educators to Teach with Handheld Technology awarded to Dr. Dana Dodson, Indiana University Northwest.

Math Counts in Michigan City (MC2) awarded to Ms. Melissa Desjarlais, Valparaiso University.

Enhancing Geometric Reasoning awarded to Dr. Gayle Millsaps, Purdue University Calumet.

S4L Science for Life Long Learning & Leading awarded to Dr. Rosa Rivera-Hainaj, Purdue University North Central.

The 24 Game Improving Math Performance in NWI awarded to Dr. Joi Patterson Calumet College of Saint Joseph.
